Susan S. Lerner
SUSAN S. LERNER. Partner. Graduated from University of Florida College of Law in 1982 where she served on the Moot Court Board. Upon graduation, Ms. Lerner clerked on the Fifth District Court of Appeal, State of Florida. She went into private practice from there, handling trial and appellate cases, primarily in the areas of torts, insurance, and civil rights. Ms. Lerner was a partner in trial law firm of Kutner, Rubinoff, Bush & Lerner, P. A. for several years until she became a partner in the trial law firm of Josephs Jack, P.A. In February 2010, Ms. Lerner joined Russo Appellate Firm, P.A. as a partner. Ms. Lerner is admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court, the five Florida District Courts of Appeal, the United States Ninth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeals and the Southern and Middle District Courts of Florida. She has served on the Florida Bar Appellate Rules Committee and the Florida Bar Appellate Practice Certification Committee. Ms. Lerner is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is a Board Certified Appellate Practice Lawyer. In 2010, Ms. Lerner received the AV Preeminent Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability. She received recognition in the 2009 Super Lawyers, Corporate Counsel Edition and in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Florida Super Lawyers Editions. She received the 1999 Dade County Bar Association Pro Bono Award for Appeals and has been a community leader, serving as president of the Junior League of Miami, Inc. in 2006-2007. Ms. Lerner is currently a board of director of the Sundari Foundation, Inc., a non-profit focused on providing shelter to homeless women.
